RIP – Kerrith Thomas Black Lytham St Annes RNLI Lifeboat Volunteer

With great sadness we have to report that Volunteer Lifeboat Crew Member Kerrith Thomas Black, known to all as Kez, has passed away peacefully in his sleep on the 27th November 2021 at the age of 32.

Kez leaves his partner Kayleigh and their 18 month old daughter Aluna Rose Black, as well as his parents Roy and Andrea Black and family and friends.

Kez joined the Lytham St Annes Lifeboat Crew in 2014 and rose to become a Lifeboat Mechanic 3 years later, a volunteer who is highly trained to look after the Lifeboat engines and equipment at sea. He was unable to continue his volunteering for the RNLI when he moved out of the area last year but he was always considered part of the “Lifeboat Family” and if he had moved back into Lytham St Annes would have been welcomed back on the Crew.

Kez was held in high regard by his fellow Crew members.. His father, Roy, is a Shannon Launch & Recovery System (SLRS) driver at the station.

A private, family only Cremation Service will be held at Lytham Crematorium.

The Station’s condolences go to his family and friends.
