A new mast that has appeared at the end of the Stanner Bank Car Park earlier this week has caused much interest and curiosity. It has now been confirmed that the new installation forms part of the North West Regional Coastal Monitoring Programme.
The mast is one of a series that aims to cover the North West coastline, with the purpose of providing an up to date understanding of coastal change and behaviour, using the latest available monitoring data and will assist in aiding understanding of the effects on the shoreline from marine activity.
