A Blackpool Pleasure Beach employee has tested positive for Covid-19 and many other colleagues are now self-isolating at home.

A Blackpool Pleasure Beach representative has said: ‘One member of staff has tested positive with Covid-19 following self-isolation and we are working with Public Health at Blackpool Council to ensure all appropriate measures are taken. All team members in this immediate working group are self-isolating for 14 days and are being tested.’

The Director of Public Health for Blackpool, Dr Arif Rajpura, has added: ‘We are aware of a single positive case at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and are working with them to ensure all necessary precautions have been taken.’
