Is February 29th special to you? Do you have a celebration that comes around only every four years? Has on-line dating matched you with your perfect partner? The answer to each of these three questions is certainly ‘Yes, yes, yes’ from Lytham St Anne’s chef Alison Brown and Craig Bradford (pictured above).
Indeed, February 29th 2020 was a very special day for the care home chef, fifty two year old Alison Brown. It was her wedding day – the special day she tied the knot with Craig Bradford.
The pair, now Mr and Mrs Bradford, first met on February 29th four years ago on an on-line dating site.
Alison told the Longridge and Ribble News, ‘I only joined Match.com on February 28th 2016 and paid six months upfront. Straight away I got an email from Craig and immediately there was a spark. We arranged to meet the following day, which was February 29th. And that was it. We saw each other every day that following week.’
‘I put on the website that I wanted someone who was loyal, honest and had family values. Straight away I had a few men contact me, but Craig was the one that I replied to and we’ve been together ever since.’
Yesterday, celebrating the fourth anniversary of the day they met, Alison and Craig married at Bartle Hall, near Preston.
