The New Year has seen a stark warning from The Friends of Lytham Green with regard to recent proposals to the creation of additional car parks on Lytham Green by increasing the size of the existing facilities. They say that a consultation paper dealing with this matter was issued over the Christmas period and opportunities to respond expire tomorrow (Sunday 9th January 2022).
The Friends of Lytham Green state in a letter headed ‘Plans to Tarmac over parts of Lytham Green’ (reproduced below) that the proposals, if implemented, could have a major impact on the visual appearance of the Green and, for most part, its unbroken continuity along the length of Lytham.
