Yates On Blackpool’s South Shore Announces Its Shock Immediate Closure

The iconic pub, Yates which is located on a prime Blackpool Promenade  location has announced that it has closed permanently with yesterday (Saturday 19th March) being its final day of trading.

A spokesperson for Yates yesterday said, ‘Today is the day, it comes with deep sadness that we are closing our doors forever tonight, This wasn’t an easy decision to make. It’s truly been our honour to serve you all at Yates Blackpool South and we’ve made memories that will last a life time!!  From all the team at Yates Blackpool South………..GOODBYE’

A search shows that the venue, owned by Stonegate Pub Company, had been listed for sale for £900,000 and property agents Fleurets have confirmed it has been sold ‘subject to conditions’ (see below).

Today, on a very sunny Sunday, Yates’ doors are firmly closed……

  1. Used to be The Lion Cabaret Bar spent many great evenings there and hubby used to work on the doors. Favourite memories End of another era ♥️

  2. I remember it being the lion, half price drinks on Thursday night, then roll into work Fri morning rough AS, good memories 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
