Kicking off #SmallBusinessChristmas with 31 Digital – Helping promote local small businesses throughout lockdown

31 Digital is a local digital design & marketing agency, situated in Lytham St Annes, owned by entrepreneur and talented graphic designer, Erin Bamber. The agency works with small, local and independent businesses to help with all their brand & marketing needs. Their services include: Brand Identity, Websites, Graphic Design, Photography, Video Production, Online Management, Email Marketing & Printing.

In a bid to help out local businesses who will undeniably suffer during lockdown 2.0, 31 Digital have decided to promote a small business every day of November in the run-up to Christmas and of course, lockdown release (fingers crossed).

31 Digital hope they can help promote small local businesses within this campaign and would love for fellow entrepreneurs from Lytham St Annes to get in touch for #SmallBusinessChristmas, this November.

The blog update from 31 Digital’s website:

“Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen our friends and family promote their small business products over social media in the run-up to Christmas, with hopes that the public will choose to support them rather than the larger high street names.

This worry was only escalated as rumours started about a second lockdown in England, meaning shops will close, everyone will be stuck at home, and many businesses will once again have to furlough their staff.

Then, Bojo came on the tele (In typical British fashion, an hour and a half late) and confirmed the rumours; England will be going into a nation-wide lockdown on Thursday the 5th of November if parliament vote to go ahead. Plans to reopen begin on December 2nd, and restrictions will once again be lifted gradually across the country.

All restaurants, bars, pubs, non-essential retail, leisure centres and health & beauty facilities will close again. No mixing households. Travel is discouraged. Working from home where possible, but schools and universities to remain open.

It’s in this moment, after hearing all week-long that the government want everything back to normal by Christmas Day, we realised that something has to be done for all of the small businesses across the country that will suffer at the hands of another lockdown.

We went to bed on the last night of October with a plan – we were going to help promote as many small businesses as possible with #SmallBusinessChristmas.

So, every day in November we will be featuring a small business that sell items which can be bought as Christmas gifts. Then, at the end of the month, we will post another article with all of these amazing businesses all in one place.

If you would like your business to be featured, all you need to do is contact us with as much detail about your product as possible; product name, description, social media handles, where to buy etc.

Hopefully, if enough people see our posts, buy your items, get the word out, and say a big f*** you to the pandemic, then we can all re-open in December knowing that we’ll have an amazing Christmas.”

If you are interested in getting involved in the project, get in touch with 31 Digital at hello@31digital.co.uk.
