It has been confirmed to LSA News that Yeadon Way will be closing for over 6 months, starting from the 11th November 2019, to make upgrades to the bridge.
The plan annouced by Blackpool Council should see the bridge’s life renewed by another 30-40 years. The upgrades will consist of a new drainage system, support columns and a smoother surface. This project has received £2.3 million from the National Productivity Investment Fund and the Highways Maintenance Fund.
Travellers are advised to bypass the bridge by driving via Squires Gates. Check back for further news on this development.
