All bookings for Christmas Dinner in local restaurants now CANCELLED as Fylde remains in tier 3

It has been announced that Lancashire, including Fylde Coast will remain in tier 3 this Christmas. Many members of the public and local business owners hoped for a different outcome however.

Restaurants took bookings for Christmas Day, offering a meal ranging from £45 to £100 per person, with many locals excited to dine out this Christmas.

Unfortunately, due to todays announcement that we will remain in Tier 3, all Christmas bookings will now be cancelled. If you have booked at a local restaurant you should expect a call shortly to inform you that they will not be staying open.

Restaurants may stay open for takeaway however, so many venues may choose to offer a delivery service on Christmas day, which those who hate to cook will be relieved to know.

This however is a BIG hit for local restaurants who rely on Christmas takings to help them through this winter season. Parties and gatherings were banned months ago which saw a massive fall in takings for local restaurants.

The Christmas bubble from 23rd – 27th December will allow you to have members of the family over with a maximum of 3 households under one roof. You may also attend church or another place of worship between these dates, ensuring that you keep 2meters apart.
