Coronations Street’s Sarah Barlow has had an extremely traumatic 2023 – including suffering a miscarriage and splitting from her husband Adam – but she will soon be smiling from ear to ear when her beloved daughter Bethany heads back to Weatherfield.

Bethany – played by Blackpool’s Lucy Fallon – took on the role when the character was reintroduced in 2015.  She left the soap in 2020 for a high flying job in London.

Before she hit the headlines on Corrie, Lucy had several jobs, including working part-time at Subway, Next, New Look and in the Merrie England bar on the North Pier. On stage she appeared as a dancer in the pantomime Sleeping Beauty at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre. She was 19 when she was cast to play the 14-year-old Bethany.

According to credible reports, Lucy’s return will be aired before Christmas and then be featured during the festive season. The actress was seen with her Corrie pals at Tina O’Brien’s (Sarah Barlow) recent 40th birthday bash (featured photograph).
