The Edward Dee fund raises awareness of meningitis and sepsis, educating the public on signs and symptoms – in the hope to save many future lives. The founder, Elizabeth Dee set up the fund after losing her son, Edward very suddenly to meningitis and sepsis. Since then, Elizabeth has striven to spread awareness and educate others on the importance of the vaccine, and how the infection can affect your life.

In order to raise money for this charity foundation, Steve is walking The North Way, from Preston to Carlisle, with a £250 target to reach.

Many locals have donated to the cause and Steve is hoping to surpass his goal and raise as much money as possible for this important cause. Steve started the walk on 3rd of August, and is keeping his Facebook friends and followers updated on Facebook with images of his travels.
