Blackpool Lifeboat Rescues Woman From Sea Off North Pier

It was  a busy day for Blackpool RNLI volunteers yesterday afternoon (Monday 13th February).

At 12:15 pm, Blackpool RNLI crew were paged to reports of a person cut off by the tide at Gynn Sqaure. The crew launched the inshore lifeboat D-862. As the lifeboat headed to the scene, they were informed that the person had managed to return to safety. The ILB returned to station.

Then later in the afternoon, at 4:00 pm, the crew were once again paged, on this occasion there were reports of a person in difficulty in the Sea near to North Pier. The inshore lifeboat was launched and located the casualty. The crew brought her back to the station and handed the casualty over to North West Ambulance.
