Blackpool Man Charged With Murder Of Alison Dodds Is Named

Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, thirty five year old Alex Hindley of Redcar Road, Blackpool, has this evening (Monday 25th September) been charged with murder of Alison Dodds. He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Blackpool Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Tuesday 26th September).

Blackpool Police  are continuing to appeal for information and if anyone feels they could assist them with the enquiry officers would be keen to speak to you. Information can be reported by calling 101, quoting log 400 of September 21, 2023.

Lytham St Anne’s News has previously reported that Police were called shortly before 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 21, to an address on Redcar Road in Blackpool to report that a woman, now identified as 51-year-old Alison Dodds (pictured) had sadly been found deceased in a flat.

A Home Office post mortem examination established that Alison died as a result of multiple serious injuries.

In a tribute released this evening (Monday 25th September), Alison’s family said, ‘We are shook up and upset that Alison has died in this way, it is not the way she should have gone and we all love her and miss her.’
