Blackpool Teenage Thug Arrested After Gang Attack & Robbery On Man With Walking Aid

Police have charged a teenager after two men were attacked and robbed in Blackpool. The victims, one of who requires a walking aid, were attacked from behind by three offenders. During the attack the victims were assaulted, knocked to the ground and had property taken from them.

The offenders ran off towards Lytham Road following the attack and robbery which happened at the junction of Windsor Avenue and Osbourne Road (pictured) at around 5.30 p.m. on Monday, November 21.

Following enquiries by detectives in Blackpool, a 17-year-old boy from the town was arrested and subsequently charged with robbery, threatening a person with an offensive weapon / bladed article and possessing a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place.

He appeared before magistrates yesterday (Saturday 26th November) and was remanded back into custody to appear before a crown court judge at a later date. A 13-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of robbery has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
