Lytham Bierhaus Set To Open On Dicconson Terrace In February

A new venue is set to appear on Dicconson Terrace – the Lytham Bierhaus – the brainchild of Peter and Gulnara Sutcliffe, who already own Kirkham Bierhaus (pictured below).

Sutcliffes say that the decision to expand their business empire stems from the growing local demand for Bavarian beer. Their new venture will be housed in the former premises of Finos restaurant and the couple say they are targeting a February opening for their new establishment.

BNN Business News reports that behind this business endeavour are personal ties to Germany. Gulnara resided in Germany for a considerable period, and Peter has been a frequent visitor to the country. Their personal experiences and familiarity with the German beer and food culture form the essence of their business concept. The menu will feature traditional Bavarian dishes like bratwurst, currywurst, and bratkartoffeln.

The couple’s current venue, Kirkham Bierhaus, already stands as a testament to their ability to evoke a German atmosphere. The decor featuring wooden tables and steins of beer is reminiscent of a traditional German pub. The Sutcliffes intend to recreate a similar ambiance in the Lytham Bierhaus. With the establishment currently in the process of staff recruitment, the Sutcliffes are looking to recruit various positions including:

  • General Manager
  • Head chef
  • Sous chef
  • Bar staff and waiting staff
  • Kitchen porter
