You are likely to go down in the records not only as the warmest ever September in the UK – influenced especially by that heatwave at the start of the month – but also as the warmest across Europe and possibly in global terms, too. This remarkable Autumn is not done with us yet. October is starting on a high, with today (Sunday 1st October) likely to exceed temperatures reached yesterday (Saturday 30th September).
