The price of the 2025 season pass at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Resort has shown an inflation busting increase – soaring to £225 per person. This is a 19% rise compared to £189 for the current version. The Pleasure Beach have also reiterated that the attraction would not return to the pre-2010 days when customers could access the park without an entrance pass and buy tickets inside the site.
Responding to complaints about the price hike, a Spokesperson told the Blackpool Gazette, ‘We are an independent family-run business navigating rising costs and inflation, but we work hard to make sure our season passes continue to represent value for money. We’ve added additional benefits, including a free visit to Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! and a free visit to Adventure Golf, as well as our existing benefits such as discounts on food, shopping, shows and events, speedy passes, and Big Blue Hotel stays.
We’ve increased our European partner parks from six to seven this year, so Platinum Season Pass holders can now benefit from free entry to seven parks across Europe, equivalent to the value of more than £300.
Guests can also opt for our Spring, Summer or Autumn season passes, which enable them to pay less and use their free visits at a certain time of year.’
Customers have also commented saying there should be walk-around facilities for those who don’t want to ride, one saying, ‘There should really be a free walk round for us who don’t want to ride but just take our grandchildren round…..they have this in Southport £5 no ride wristband.’
Another said, ‘Ridiculous that there isn’t a locals/walk-round pass if you don’t want to go on rides but want to be there with family. Spent pretty much every weekend there in the 80s playing arcades, eating, the odd ride, yet my own kids have only been once in 20+ years.’
However, some think the price is appropriate, one saying ‘I looked at the price online last night for tickets. Although they seem expensive compared to what I paid in Scarborough last month at Luna Park they are a bargain. Luna Park cost me £25 for 5 ride tickets for myself and granddaughter. We was in and out on less than half and hour. At least you can go in the rides as many times as you like at the Pleasure Beach.’
