Lytham St Anne’s Eats App Launches On Tuesday 15th August With Amazing Offers

A Lytham St Annes firm is planning to take on the food ordering giants with the launch of their new app ‘Lytham St Annes Eats’ this Tuesday 15th August. Sam Benson and Olivier Jackson are the owners of the new app, which launches with over 45 restaurants available to order from!

Sam said the group started across Blackpool with ‘Blackpool Eats’ in March 2020, with the aim to undercut the big names and provide a local service for a commission in the region of five per cent.

He said: “It’s completely taken off in Blackpool; we have over 250 businesses signed up now and they are saving a fortune in commission as we process over 20,000 orders per week. Because we don’t have extortionate commission rates, many of our takeaways will be much cheaper on our app than national apps, meaning customers can save lots of money too!

We plan to replicate that success in Lytham St Annes and support the local community here too!”

Sam said many people did not realise that the likes of Just Eat charge a huge 14-30 per cent commission to takeaways using its ordering service. At that level, he said, many of the restaurants have to pass on the charge to customers and Sam said in any case it was a lot of money leaving the local economy to go into the pockets of the international firms.

“Not only do we want to treat the takeaways more fairly, but also we want to support the community too and so we have decided to donate 100 per cent of our first week’s takings to the North-West Air Ambulance.”

“Going forward we are hoping to employ more people here in Lytham St Annes and continue supporting the local community. Many of the takeaways have special offers and promotions which we can support on the app.”

The Lytham St Annes Eats app goes live on Tuesday 15th August and is available to download from the App Store and Google Play. We’ll be offering at least 10% off all our takeaway partners for the first few weeks, with many savings up to 30% available!

So download the app today to save money and start supporting local businesses.
