Back in 2018, Blackpool resident Karen Robb was jailed for 16 months and placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years. She was also handed a sexual harm prevention order which prohibited her from spending time with under 16s without the prior consent of their parents and social services.
This jail sentence came about after Robb had been in contact with an unnamed victim for several months, sending him lewd, sexual messages and a video of her naked on a bed touching her boobs, whilst encouraging him to show his private parts in return. She was caught when her ex-partner suspected she was having an affair and reported the messages to the police.
Jailing Robb once again, Judge Darren Preston heard that Robb had flouted this sexual harm prevention order by attending a family meal at Nando’s with four children under the age of 16. Additionally, between 15th August and 7th September 2023, Robb stayed at a house in Blackpool where a child lived. She did not tell the police that she was staying there. These unsupervised activities were banned under the terms of Robb’s notification requirements.
Robb (pictured below), of Barton Avenue, Blackpool, was placed behind bars once again for 28 months, Judge Darren Preston saying that only an immediate prison sentence could be justified.
