Health Secretary Steve Barclay visited Blackpool’s Victoria Hospital yesterday (Thursday 19th January) and took the time to compliment the team saying, ‘Great to see a lot of innovation being adopted, particularly in how patients flow through the emergency department.’
He also visited the brand new Blackpool Ambulance Station saying ‘It’s got brand new facilities which will make the experience for staff better.’ He continued, ‘It mean that when paramedics turn up the ambulances are ready to go.’
He added that he believed the new ways of working he had seen in Blackpool would help the NHS through the current tough times.
