Lytham’s iconic Windmill will be closed off to the public this weekend. A spokesperson for Fylde Council have said, ‘As the windmill is being cleaned up and painted, we have noticed some more work needs to be done, so for this weekend only, the windmill will be closed off to the public.’

The spokesperson added, ‘The old lifeboat house will be open all weekend, so feel free to stop by, have a look around and say hello.’
