A pungent pong emanating from a 17-year-old boy alerted two officers just after midnight yesterday (Tuesday 28th February). Searching the teenager, the officers found a large quantity of cannabis. The incident, on Whitegate Drive in Blackpool, led to the arrest of the youth on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
As the youth was just 17-year-old, Police went to speak to his parents. At his address the officers found two rooms were being used for cannabis production. They also found a significant quantity of cash.
Consequently, a 41-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were arrested at the address on suspicion of drug offences.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said, ‘Our enquiries are ongoing.’
