There is possibly another new bar heading for Lytham as The Coffee Bean, which is located at 77 Clifton Street, has applied under the Licensing Act for a ‘Minor Variation’ to its premises licence – a variation which would allow alcoholic drinks to be served to customers without the need for them to buy a snack or meal.
This is because the proposed variation submitted to Fylde Council would ‘remove the need for a substantial meal to be served with the purchase of an alcoholic drink, i.e. the proposal is to allow the the sale of alcohol on the premises with or without a snack or meal.’ Currently the premises is simply described as a licensed café and coffee shop.
