Police and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team were called this afternoon (Tuesday 31st January) to a post-box near Seafield Road. They had been alerted by a postal worker who dialled 999 having found a ‘suspicious device’ A cordon was put in place around the box while the object was examined. This incident was previously reported via Lytham St. Anne’s News Facebook page.

Lytham St,Anne’s News is now pleased to report that, after careful examination by the experts, the ‘suspicious object’ was found to be a vape battery that posed no threat.
