Christmas is Coming!

Blackpool Illuminations started putting up the Christmas Lights last night (26th October), preparing Lytham for Christmas at last.

It was announced earlier in the year that, due to coronavirus safety measures, the usual switch on event will not take place. In its place a Virtual Switch On will be posted on Youtube and Social Media on the 14th November 2020.

The event organisers have also added that there will be entertainment which will be announced next week.

This is welcome news to many locals who have felt that covid-19 has ruined their plans for this festive season. The event organisers ‘Lytham Christmas’, have gone above and beyond to ensure the Lytham Switch On this year is safe, and entertaining, something to look forward to!
