An icy blast is forecast to hit Lytham St. Anne’s this weekend as an Arctic blast is predicted to bring the first cold snap of the year.

Saturday (25th November) is expected to be the coldest night of the year (see featured map) across the Fylde with the first sub-zero temperatures of Winter. Weather forecasters say the frosty, cold Saturday night will be a result of a huge cold front flowing down from Scandinavia. Temperatures will improve on Sunday and into the start of next week, but there is a possibility of another cold snap at the start of December.
