Congratulations to St Anne’s in Bloom winning Gold once again and being awarded joint winners of Best Large Coastal Resort with Southport. Congratulations to Lytham in Bloom who likewise won Gold and Best Small Coastal Resort. Additionally, Lytham in Bloom are up for a National Award on Monday in addition to this regional one. The results will be featured in the One Show on BBC1 on Monday evening.

There were more local winners celebrating at the awards ceremony held at the Reebok Stadium, Middlebrook, Bolton:

• Friends of St Anne’s on the Sea Station received an RHS “Its your neighbourhood Outstanding Award”
• Lytham Hall won Best Small Tourist Attraction in the Visitor Centre Category
