The Defence Secretary and Conservative MP for Wyre and Preston North (constituency shown inset in featured photograph), Ben Wallace, has warned ‘war is coming’ to Britain by the end of the decade, saying we must invest in our military to prepare. He added, ‘Freedom isn’t free’.
The Tory Minister and MP delivered his terrifying prediction last night, warning Britain will be at war ‘by the end of this decade’. He told The Sun ‘Conflict is coming by the end of this decade, whether it is a cold war or hot, war is coming. In order to deter, you have to be ready, you have to be equipped and you have to stand with your friends and your allies.’
As Britain continues to pledge material support to Ukraine, he urged that the nation must brace for conflict, hot or cold, and ‘be ready for whatever could happen. Freedom isn’t free. Britain’s message to Russia is we are not giving up and we are not going away.’
In a morning interview today (Thursday 23rd February) with LBC, Mr Wallace added that he was ‘open’ to sending more British tanks to Kyiv and suggested Ukraine was likely to receive fighter jets from NATO member countries.
MP Wallace lives in Lancashire; his office being located in Great Eccleston. Following his education and training at Sandhurst, he was commissioned as an Officer into the Scots Guards. During the 1990s he saw service in Northern Ireland, Germany, Cyprus and Central America. He has been MP for the constituency of Wyre and North Preston since 6th May 2010.

It seems the warmongers are creeping out of the closet again.
Now we’re all expected to be ready to fight a war for our so-called freedoms.
Have anybody been paying attention to the price of warfare?
Two world wars, justified or not, already cost us dearly in so many ways.
That was with conventional weapons.
Now we have terrible, unspeakable weapons of destruction.
The next World War will finish us all off, globally, wiping any notion of freedom off the face of the planet.
Does anybody actually learn from history I wonder?
