Yellow Weather Warning As Gales Develop Across Fylde Coast

The Met Office has said that wind speeds are sent to increase this evening on the Fylde coast (Thursday 12th January), prompting the Met Office to issue a yellow weather warning.

The Met Office has shared this cautionary warning ‘It will turn very windy early overnight with gales developing, these possibly severe in coastal areas for a time – further rain arriving, especially during the middle of the night, heavy in places.

The warning came into place from 3 p.m. today will remain until 3 a.m. on Friday (13th January).

The outlook as we head to the weekend says, ‘Very wet and windy on Saturday morning with possible gales, brightening up later. Sunny spells and showers thereafter, increasingly wintry, especially on hills’
