The Full Timetable For This Weekend’s Blackpool Air Show Is Here!

The free two-day Blackpool Air Show takes place this weekend, on Saturday 12th  & Sunday 13th  August. It will proudly feature thrilling displays from a wide range of military and civil aircraft including the Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Typhoon, The Red Devils, Muscle Pitts Stunt Plane, Strikemaster and the AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers.

Additionally, the RAF has announced it will be bringing a life-size replica of the iconic Red Arrow Hawk Jet Aerobatic Plane to the Air Show Village throughout the free event. The RAF will give visitors a unique opportunity to climb into the cockpit and get a taste of what it is like to be a pilot of one of the most recognisable planes on the planet. The Air Show Village, which will be sited between North and Central Piers, will also include military vehicles, weapon stands, attractions, and information and official merchandise stalls for various aircraft that will be performing over the weekend.

Here is the timetable for both days – with some notes sharing details of the aircraft.

Saturday 12th August Display Times

14:00    The Red Arrows

14:28    Calidus – Autogyros, with their sleek and futuristic appearance, gracefully navigate through the skies at exhilarating speeds.

14:40    Battle of Britain Memorial Flight – A display on both days by a Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster Bomber, one of only two airworthy Lancasters in the world.

15:01    L-39

15:13    Swordfish

15:26    Stintson Reliant

15:37    Hurricane

15:49    AeroSuperBatic Wingwalkers – Their manoeuvres include loops, rolls, stall turns and inverted flight – all reaching speeds of up to 150 mph.

16:12    Harvard

16:24    Red Devil Parachute Team – The 15 Red Devils always deliver an adrenaline-pumping performance that leaves spectators on the edge of their seats.

16:47    Muscle Pitts –  An extraordinary brand of aerobatics including torque rolls, backwards flight and knife-edge flypasts.

17:00    The Ravens – This tight-knit group of six skilled pilots takes to the skies in their self-build RV8 aircraft, dazzling audiences with their precision and daring manoeuvres.

17:24    Typhoon – The Eurofighter Typhoon has a top speed of more than 1400mph and is powered by two Rolls Royce engines, producing 40,000lbs of thrust.
